I Am a Leader

I am
a leader. I work with others to get things done. I set goals,
organize things, delegate, work hard, supervise, and commit to a task. I
run meetings, I make speeches, I communicate, I initiate action. People
listen to me and look up to me. But I am so much more.
I am
a visionary. I dream big. I see and see again. Not only do I
see the many possibilities in a situation, but I see the endless possibilities
in people. I see their potential and I work hard to help them reach it.
I am
a vehicle of transformation. I believe in people. I give them the
tools and confidence they need to rise to the next level- to become leaders
themselves. I trust in the people I work with and give them opportunities
to grow.
I am
a follower. I recognize when it is time to step down and let someone else
do great work. I know my strengths, but I also know my weaknesses.
I know when another person will be better for the task.
I am
student. I am human. I am always learning from the world and the
people around me. I am not perfect and I have much room to grow. I
make mistakes and I try to face them with honesty and integrity. I learn
from my mistakes to be better the next time around. I use my experiences
to improve myself and what I do.
I am
leader, but I am also so much more.
